Meta has announced plans to invest $10 billion in building its largest AI-focused data center in Holly Ridge, Louisiana. The 4-million-square-foot facility will support the growing demand for training and running large language models like LLaMA and Meta AI.
The construction will create 5,000 temporary jobs and 500 permanent positions. Meta’s move follows a broader industry trend of tech companies moving AI infrastructure into non-traditional hubs with abundant space and natural gas access.
